this week we did an experement for the whole week. We took coffee filters and defined gravity. we punched holes and timed it and we discovered that more holes fall faster and then we did a ppt on it. I think we got a hunderd

this week we delt with forces and the moon and how it revolves around the world. We were so posed to see how the moon went around the earth but we watched a video on it. and it is soposed to drift off and go to the center of the earth but it insted splits inbetween it and goes around. then we had to watch videos and do problems on it and then on friday we went over it.

1. this week we had a suprise man from some place in new york come in and teach us about the earth and space. It was really cool, he had a vertual presentation that showed us everyrthing about our galexy. We saw that pluto isnt a planet because it doesnt follow the trends for the outer planets. Also their is another planet further than pluton and that was cool to find out. After that we had to leanr about newtons 5th law...it involved speed. Then when we finished that we had to do an ASK review packet. I thought it was fairly easy and the ons i got wrong we went over in class and i realized my mistake. And we did that through friday.

2. One of our homeworks was to look at some actuall essays that students wrote. We had to judge them and score then. The next day we got the actuall grades and i wasnt off by much. I realized that you need to put down evwerything and it also helps to draw a diagram of what you are doing. I think i am ready for the ASK.

This week we started dinamicks. On monday we had an into on it with a blasetball little ball and bowling ball. We had to hold them and try not to let them drop. That shows us that we are applying equlil force that the earth is applying to pull it down. we learned how to plot it and when you have equil force the lines are the same and the origin is the object. Tuesday we had to take the long test that i didnt finish and had to continue to wendsday. Then on wendsday after we did the testwe used a weight and a scale and continued dinamicks. We used a cool touch screen thing to measure the forces. We did a worksheed and did that into thursday and went over it friday. Also on friday we did these 3 dificut problems that took a while and we finished up the week with that

March 23

This week wew continued on doing our kinomatics packetand our group finished section 10 therough 15. we had some slight difficulty with making motion diagrama and figuring out the delta change of the volocity. also i had some other difficulty with making the grapgs and doing questions based on them. Like for example in lesson 12 i didnt get if the line that went horisantal for a while was showing that the object stopped or if it just kept walking at a pase but i think i get it now but i might still have questions and thursday we finished everything and over the break i'm going to do the review for the test.

This week

This week we continued physics we had to do a couple of worksheets and we had to do time trials and make graphs about the data taken and given. And on friday we had G.E.P.A review

this week we started physics on tuesday. On wendsday fins sister came in and we did an experemt involving a basketballl and telescopes made out of paper. it showed that as a object m oveds closer to u facing directly at you it looks like the object gets colser and as it moves away on an angle it gets farther away. Thursday we took a test for fins new tet book. Friday we did a lab based on 8 pictures ans that is also our home work it was about how thinks occur and how we and people in the picture

This week

On monday we went oveer a cookie sheet. Tuesday we had to do a rock sheet and we had to describe rocks and what we thought they werwe based on the pictures. Whendsdasy we did a flow chart and we were introduced to protons electrons and nutrons and how these things can make up things. Yesterday we started too do a lab with minerals and their hardness and we carried it into today. We used Talc corundum calcite florite feldsfar apatite quartz gypsum.

This week we took a break from rocks and we learned about heating and everything like that. then we started a lab about lab where we brought rocks in and investigated

This week

This week we had a test on the unit of rock formation. Finley was out for that. After that we headed on studying rocks. We did an experement with looking at rocks that were the same types. We had to disquinguish the rocks and describe it. rocks cryatalize larger when they take longer to cool rather than when it cools quickly the cryatlas are really small that was basically our week

The Week

This week we leared about crystals and rocks. We did an experement wit cryatalization to see if our class hypothisis of crystals form biger when a rock cools slower than faster. In our experement we had moth balls and we melted them... We put them in different cups in diffrent cooling places. One in a cool area where that would resmeble where the rock would cool faster. Another in a room temp. area to see a mix of cool and warm and lastly a hot area to show the rock cooling faster. the next day we saw that the cooler area had tiny crystals the area of room temp. had a decient sixe crystals lastly the warmer area had the biggest cryatals. So we proved our hypothisis correct.. Lastly in the week we began a lab on rocks and trying t distinguish one type from the other. Some trays had the same types. Some rocks wrer very light some crystaly, some layerly. We've yet to finish it.

Week after X-mas

This week we started to talk about heat and 3 types of heating sourses. Conduction Convexion and Radiation. Monday we started to review review heating because we were off for holiday break. Tuesday we learned about convexion and that oven mitts are only ventelators to protect your extremities from the potentual dangers from the heat. We also learned about how when you put a spoon up to a burner that the paritcles heat up and warm up the spoon and you feel the heat.

Wendsday we learned about lava lamps and that when they get lifted by the particles It falls down. On thursday mr.finley was out and we reviewed this. Friday we took a quis and chilled out
